Dreams do come true!

14th and 15th of January in the year 2019, these days became the challenging yet memorable days I have experienced in my 19 years of existence in this world. We thought that all the scenarios happened on those days will be quite easy to handle but no. We were like lost children roaming around to different places. We kept on asking directions and tips in order to survive. Truth to be told, after adapting and internalizing, we surpassed the challenge and we arrived safely at Husein Sastranegara Airport with the Bangkok time of approximately 9:00 in the evening. We were fetched at the airport by our two buddies namely, Nurul and Septia.

January 14, 12:30 PM at Farinas Terminal, we bid goodbyes to our parents, coordinators, advisers and even our friends. They wave their hands all throughout, gave their sweetest smiles and hugs. There is a sudden sadness I felt but it does not stop me to go to Indonesia. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Thus, I forced myself to become tougher.

January 15, 1:10 AM, we arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport. We checked in our baggage ready to send in Bandung. So, the things we did carry while we were at the airport are those important documents, laptops which we put in our backpacks and hand carry bags in order to travel lightly.

January 15, 10:35 AM, the plane landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. I saw myself wearing my ‘ear to ear’ grin when we arrived at Malaysia. I was a bit exhausted from the travel, but it never stops me to smile because finally, my dream became part of the reality. We are so fortunate also because we met our co-practice teachers from the Philippines. They are from Central Luzon State University. Although when we were inside the airport, before the meeting of the students from CLSU, a scenario happened. We were lost. We do not know what our next move will be. We spent an hour roaming around inside the airport. Fortunately, a friend of mine from the Philippines helped us. She gave us tips on how to handle situations while we were at the airport. It is very hard to be independent but it is an advantage for the future.

I went abroad, travelled for the first time in an international plane and Malaysia is the first country and Indonesia is the second one. This is a blessing in disguise. We went through different obstacles and met difficult situations but we are stronger than those.
